Ayurvedic Facial Therapy is a natural beauty treatment for a healthy and glowing skin. It includes a face massage using herbal oil and creams based on natural organic ingredients and Ayurvedic herbs. This facial therapy will leave you feeling relaxed, energised, and balanced, as well as tightening the skin, removing toxins and impurities, thus, improving your overall well-being.

Having regular Ayurvedic Facial Therapy, not only gives you a healthy complexion but it will likely delay skin aging, prevent acne, reduce sun damage and formation of dark circles around the eyes. It also supports the regeneration of damaged and saggy skin, helping to maintain natural skin elasticity. It can soothe allergic reactions like itching, dry, scaly skin, and blisters.

As all ingredients of our Ayurvedic facials are completely organic and natural, there is no risk of any harm to the skin or any side-effects.

Ayurveda works on Marma points (Ayurvedic acupressure points). Massaging them can trigger the positive energy in the body and mind.

Marma points are located at specific anatomical sites which are usually intersections between bones, joints, arteries, or tendons. These points are usually found in places like joints, muscles, and ligaments. This is comparable to acupuncture or acupressure points in traditional Chinese Medicine. Stimulation of these points brings renewed awareness and blood flow, which results in a shift in the whole body, as well as the harmonising effects it releases.

TYPES OF FACIALS

Ayurveda has three types of facial therapy based on the individual Dosha constitution as described below:

Vata De-Stress Facial Therapy
This nourishing facial is recommended for dry, dull and scaly skin and addresses aging, dryness, dehydration, stressed and tired skin.

Pitta Re-Fresh Facial Therapy
This detoxifying facial is recommended for reddish and slightly moist skin prone to acne and treats toxicity, redness, and sensitivity. The skin is cleansed using cooling and cleansing herbal formulations.

Kapha Re-Energise Facial Therapy
This cleansing facial is recommended for oily and combination skin. We use herbal creams and Ayurvedic formulas to balance your skin type.

Since Ayurveda recognises that each one of us is a unique individual, the correct oils and skincare products will be chosen to help pacify the predominant Dosha (Vata, Pitta, or Kapha).

Facial Procedure:

  • The facial consists of an initial cleansing with our ayurvedic cleanser milk.
  • Then exfoliate the skin which soothes the skin and allows for better absorption of the warmed herbal oil that is then massaged onto the face, neck, and shoulders.
  • Ayurvedic pacifying toner is used before the oil is applied to remove any traces of herbal sediment from the exfoliation process
The herbal oil will penetrate the skin, replenishing lost moisture and helping with detoxification.
  • Steaming of the face follows, allowing the pores to open and the skin to become further hydrated.
  • A healing Marma massage is performed using a Tridosha face oil to unblock energy channels and restore vitality.
  • The skin is now prepared for the deep cleansing with a face mask which is then applied.
  • A deep hydrating gel mask is applied as your hands and arms are massaged. While this lovely and aromatic mask has had time to dry and then be removed, the radiance rose water toner is applied.
  • The final procedure is application of a gentle moisturising cream and a hydrating eye gel.

An Ayurvedic consultation and Dosha analysis form to decide what products to use will be sent to you in advance.
